National Life Saving Day 2012

I was being assigned as the fire warden for my department when I joined this company. My job was to do headcount whenever we have fire drill. It took 3yrs before our safety dept. realised our dept. do not have a first aider. All other dept. have their own fire warden and first aider. So, we need someone to volunteer from our dept. to be a first aider but seems like nobody is willing to do it. No one feels comfortable performing CPR on a dummy. In the end, I volunteered to be the first aider and pass my fire warden post to someone else. Anyway, I was from St. John Ambulance Brigade during my secondary school days. So, CPR it's nothing new to me. But the problem now is I've never attended any first aider course in the company previously, so they sent me to attend this National Life Saving Day at Singapore Expo on 15 Jan.

I get to choose whether I would prefer to attend the morning or afternoon session and of course, I chose the morning session cos I don't wanna waste my Sunday away. But then again I had to wakey at 7:30am, in order to attend the morning session. OMG ~ My body refused to leave the bed on Sunday morning. *sob sob*

The course duration is 3hrs from 9am - 12noon. Registration starts from 8am. I purposely timed myself not to arrive there too early. I managed to reach at 8:45am and saw a super long queue of pple waiting to be registered -_-"

It's amazing to see so many thousands of pple learning CPR & AED under 1 roof. After the course, I actually don't regret coming cos I learn something new today. At least I know how to operate an AED on a casualty now. I'm not sure if I dare to perform CPR & AED on someone in future, if critical situation happens but only time can tell. But at least I know I have the skill set now.

Snail Cream

Long ago, I heard about botox, collagen, placenta, infill.... Recently, I bumped into this Snail Cream website. Initially, I was like "WTH is a snail cream? Isn't it gross to apply slimy stuff on face? Wouldn't it smell?"

After watching some of the famous Taiwan variety show videos and did some research online, I decided to give it a try. I bought the cleansing soap & cream which I received today. I'm never a fan for cleansing soap cos it always make my face feels very tight after cleansing. And since I have super sensitive skin, I tend to feel the itch on my face if it gets too dry or tight.

So far I have tried the soap & cream for 2 days and it feels quite good. The soap foam up easily as I massage on my face. It doesn't give me that tightening feeling after cleansing. In fact, my face feels very clean & smooth after that. It has a bit of ginseng smell in the soap and I love ginseng! Many Korean ladies use ginseng powder & honey to make their own facial mask at home.

The snail cream itself has this very nice floral fragrance which I like. I smell very nice after every application. Will continue to monitor my complexion condition for 1 month. Hopefully, it can help to remove my acne scar, lighten the freckles, get rid of wrinkles, improve on my uneven skin tones :P

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012!

Unbelievable, another year is gone. Time really flies but 2011 didn't end well for me. I had to go thru a hell of torture & misery before I welcome 2012 -_-"

What happened? Well, I applied leave on 23 Dec (Friday) and went shopping with 大男人 at Jurong Point. There were X'mas mood everywhere and the shopping mall was filled with crazy crowd doing their last minute X'mas shopping. Though we didn't have a very packed program for X'mas & New Year celebration, I was looking forward to the long weekends, catching up with old friends and having good food sessions.

Throughout the whole day, I was feeling ok, in a very good mood. We had nice teppanyaki lunch at Yakiyakibo. We ordered beef, pork, scallops & garlic rice. The foodie were very tasty. We loved everything, especially the fried garlic rice. But the scallops were kinda bland and it has a bit of fishy smell that I detest. We started our shopping spree after lunch but only 大男人 bought lotsa stuff :(

My nightmare began around wee hours. I woke up in the middle of the night at 3am, feeling feverish. I quickly took 2 panadols and hopped back into bed cos I need lotsa rest & energy for tomorrow's bridal make up. I cannot afford to be sick.

Next morning (X'mas eve), I woke up feeling very sick. Still feeling feverish and my whole body ached like hell. I thought I must have caught a flu. I totally lost my appetite on that day. I only had 2 mouthful of noodle then I took 2 panadols again before heading out for my appointment.

I had a hard time trying to concentrate on doing make-up & hairdo for my bride cos I was really feeling very unwell. Normally, I enjoy cold environment (e.g. winter, air-conditioned room) but that day, I was shivering as though I was naked on a snow field. By the time I completed everything for the bride & groom, I was pale as a piece of paper and felt like fainting any time. But still, I had to use my last bit of energy to drive home safely.

I called 大男人 to come down and help me carry my make-up case & hair equipments bag when I reached home. I collapsed on my bed & started crying like a baby. I can feel that I'm having very high fever and it's so unbearable. 大男人 was super lost and helpless. He just hugged me while I cried and fell asleep shortly after. I woke up around 10pm (3hrs later) and 大男人 brought me to a nearby 24-hour clinic to see a doctor. The doctor diagnosed me and said I've gotten tonsilitis as I expected. I had similar case more than 10yrs ago. Very bad sore throat + high fever for 3 days. I requested him to give me a jab even though I'm so afraid of needle but I don't wanna be sick on X'mas. He also gave me a course of antibiotics and lozenges.

My sore throat became worse after 3 days. The fever had subsided though. I started to feel the itch on my fingers & toes. Then I observe my palm closely and saw some red spots. I showed 大男人 and he jokingly said I gotten the hand, foot, mouth disease (HFMD). Next day, I went to see the doctor again and he confirmed that I have gotten HFMD. *roll eyes* Why am I so SUAY??? He said that the initial symptoms (e.g. high fever & sore throat) of HFMD is kinda similar to tonsilitis so the 1st doctor that I've seen couldn't tell that I've gotten HFMD until the red spots started to show on my hands & feet a few days later.

All in all, I had seen 3 different doctors and rested at home for 2 weeks (from X'mas eve to after new year). Apparently, there's nothing you can do once you have gotten HFMD. The doctor can give you antibiotics but it won't help much. It's like getting chicken pox. You can only wait for everything to happen and go away by itself. Children normally take 1 week to recover but adult will take longer period to recover. zzzz.... It was a horrible and torturing experience for me. First time in my life, I felt so damn sick. I couldn't eat, couldn't drink, couldn't sleep, couldn't even swallow my own saliva! And my high fever was like in between 38 - 39.6 deg C. I felt like dying.

Now that I've fully recovered, I hope I will never be so sick again in future. I hope this dragon year will be a better year for me.

Mum's 60th Bday

Celebrated my mum's 60th bday yesterday at Buffet Town, together with my dad & bro's family. I would say the buffet spread is quite good. Seafood were very fresh too! The queue for fresh oyster is ridiculous. Luckily, I don't eat fresh oysters :P The dinner buffet on Sunday is at $39.80++ per pax. Service staff were very friendly and quick to clear the dirty plates away which is really good. They were very attentive. The manager even serve a bowl of lemon water to our table to let us wash our fingers cos she saw us peeling prawns & eating crabs. Unfortunately, I was too busy eating and too shy to go every counter to snap photos, so I don't have any pics to show in this post. But you can always go to their homepage and take a look :D

Our 1st Car

I have been saying wanna buy since many years ago but it never happen cos the COE keeps increasing and I don't think I can support a car all by myself. Finally, my dream came true this year. 大男人 agreed to share the cost to buy a 2nd hand car with me next year. I thought may be can start looking around now, by the time we found a car we like and the paper work process, it would be Jan 2012 already. It would be great if we have a car before CNY to visit friends & relatives. Who knows the process took only 1 week! LOL!

I started looking for 2nd hand cars within our budget from www.sgcarmart.com then asked my bro & dad for their opinions. Then we further shortlisted 3-4 cars for viewing. My bro brought me around to view cars on last Sat. We saw 4 Suzuki Swift and finally both of us think this is the best looking and best choice among all. Next day, I made an appointment again to view the car with 大男人，my father-in-law & dad. Trust me, old pple are more experience in car inspection & bargaining. Haha... So glad that all of them like the car after test drive and we paid a deposit to confirm our purchase for this car :P

I went to collect the car with my dad yesterday noon. Was really, really excited when I see the car all cleaned up, with the cute spoiler being installed as per my request. Our 1st car!! A Suzuki Swift 1.5A !

I really feel like the luckiest woman on earth for marrying 大男人 cos with him around, I managed to fulfill 3 of my dreams -- have a good husband, own a flat, own a car. Super, super happy now!

Damn pissed. My iPhone went cranky since yesterday. I was still using it to whatsapp my fren & 大男人 in the evening. Not evening surfing net or downloading stuff. During dinner with them, I checked my phone and noticed that it was damn hot. Very unusual kinda hotness and the battery literally went flat. I have been using this phone for 1 year. It has never die on me before!

When I arrived home. I quickly plugged it in to recharge but it won't work. It seemed so dead to me. I tried to hold the power & home buttons down together to do a soft reset. Aahh... finally something came alive. The pic on the screen prompted me to connect to iTunes which I did. Then the iTunes prompt me that my phone is in recovery mode. I need to restore the phone to factory settings. All of the sudden, I have shivers down my spine. I don't wanna lose my contacts & data again! But if I don't click the ACCEPT button to reset my phone, it won't function at all. Dammit! *close my eyes & click accept*

After 5mins, my phone came back to life. All datas were being restored. I was super happy! Now, I just hope everything works fine after recharging the phone. My phone battery life was at 80% around 1:30am and this morning it went down to 5% at 7:30am which is damn unusual!

Called up Apple helpdesk this morning. All they can say it's my 1-year warranty is over, so they won't be able to do a 1 to 1 exchange for me. Furthermore, there is no manufacturing fault being found in iPhone4 (yeah right, you only say that cos my warranty is expired) so I will have to pay S$350 for a replacement set. I'm damn pissed now. Don't know what to do. Probably monitor my phone for another day and decide what to do tomorrow.

Smiths - Authentic British Fish & Chips

My brother is currently away for 2 weeks in Vietnam with his family and I get to drive his car. Yay! It's nice to have a car cos we get to go places where we normally will not go due to the inconvenience of getting there via public transport.

大男人 brought me to this Smiths @ Balmoral Plaza for dinner on last Tuesday and I must say their fish & chips is super yummy! Normally, I won't be able to finish the whole serving whenever I ordered fish & chips cos I get very sick of the thickly breaded exterior of the fish half way thru the dinner. But I managed to finish everything here! Cos they didn't coat the fish with thick batter which is really good! Furthermore, they have different variety of fish for you to choose to suit individual taste. We ordered the cod & haddock and we both prefer the haddock. We also ordered the side dishes -- Chip Butty which is 4 slices of buttered white bread with fries -_-" and Baked Beans which I don't like quite like the taste. So, a note for our next visit is to order main dish only. Hahaha.....

Oh yah, forgot to mention this Boddington Pub Ale is very refreshing! Tasted like light beer, easy to drink. But it became very bitter after I ate some fries with sweet chilli sauce :S

Engine Restart!

After so many months of waiting, my nails have finally grew strong and long again. They were very soft & weak after I had acrylic/gel extension for wedding last year. Then I also did the ever-so-popular Gelish nails twice on my nails early this year which worsen the condition. Ever since then I kept my nails short cos they broke so easily. Then I couldn't be bothered to paint my nails too cos short nails just don't look very good with nail polish & nail art.

Now that they are long again, I can resume my nail art painting hobby! Hee hee.... This what I had done on my nails today while playing online game. It's supposed to be purple color base with pink pokka dots circles. Not sure why it looked more blueish in the photo :P

Momiji Japanese Buffet Restaurant

I know it's embarrassing but I seriously didn't know that City Square Mall & Farrer Park MRT Station exist until my friend arranged a dinner gathering there. I was like "where the hell is City Square Mall?" when he told me we are going to meet there for dinner. I thought it's somewhere in the East and straight away told him to choose somewhere centralized & near MRT please. Otherwise, I don't know how to go. And his reaction was.. "It is very centralized! Near Little India & Farrer Park MRT station is right below the shopping mall!" I was speechless. Totally embarrassed. Wahahahaha!!!

To be honest, not many Singaporeans (my hubby, colleagues & other friends) know about City Square Mall. So, I'm not alone! LOL! When I arrived there, the mall looked damn desserted. Not many patrons and many shops have moved out. Probably no business lah.

We went to this Momiji Japanese Buffet Restaurant for dinner and I must say the buffet spread is really good! There are lots of variety and each person only pays S$28++ which is not very expensive. The foodie are fresh & delicious. Would definitely go back again :)

Hong Kong Trip (19-20 Aug) Day 2

Woke up early today for our dim sum breakfast at the hotel. How can anyone not have dim sum when they are in Hong Kong? My favourite dim sum ~ As I expected, there was already a long Q when we arrived. Luckily, it’s just the 2 of us. So, it’s easier & faster for us to get seats as long as we don’t mind sharing. It’s so common for patrons to share table when having dim sum breakfast. I love the dim sum there cos they are so delicious and cheap! Every dish is like $1-$3? Unlike having dim sum in Singapore, every dish is around $3.50 - $6 *heart bleeding*
After breakfast, we took the subway & MTR to the city again. Today, we went to the Hong Kong Museum of History. Not as fun as the wax museum but still interesting to understand more about their history & culture.
Then we took a walk down the Flower Street. Wow… really flowers everywhere, on both sides of the street. Can smell the fragrance of the flowers in the air. Hmmm … nice ~
As we walked along, we arrived at the Fa Yuen Street where there are many, many shops selling clothes, bags & accessories. Just like our Bugis Village.
Last but not least, we strolled down the Goldfish Street too. Lotsa shops selling various types of fish. Only a few shops selling furry pets & reptiles.
When heading back to our hotel, I saw many pple Q-ing outside this café and I wanna kpo again. LOL! Oh! They all buying Po Lo Bao. I also wanna eat! I’ve tried the Po Lo Bao in Singapore from Carlton Hotel. It’s very nice. So now I must try the authentic ones from Hong Kong.
Taste yummy too! I like the crispy topping of the Po Lo Bao.
On our way back to hotel, 大男人 brought me to this noodle house. He said that this place is very famous and always very crowded. You can choose the soup base & 3 types of ingredients for your noodle. Any additional ingredient will be charge separately. Interesting… I had noodle in Ma La soup (beginner’s level, since they insisted I should not try higher level if I this is my 1st visit) + pork belly, bean curd skin & fishball. Not bad but the serving is damn big lah. Can be shared by 2 persons. We also ordered the Ma La chicken wings. Very unique & exciting taste :P Not bad.
We ended our day early today. 大男人 took a nap while I watch my Korean drama series on iphone in the hotel. Later in the evening, we went down to the nearby shopping mall for dinner. I had this Pork Steamboat Set while 大男人 had the Pork Chop? Anyway, my set is really too much for 1 person’s consumption. LOL! I can’t even finish the meat :P
It’s already 9pm after we finished our dinner. Most of the shops were closing too. No chance for last minute shopping So we headed back to our room & pack our luggage. This is really a VERY SHORT trip. Haha…. We only spent 1.5 days in Hong Kong but I think it’s enough cos nothing much to see. I only enjoy the foodie there.

Next morning we woke up early and had dim sum at the hotel again. Gonna miss the cheap & nice dim sum there. Then we took the hotel shuttle bus to the airport and we spent the next 30mins Q-ing up, just to check-in for our flight -_-:

At least the return flight, the plane is bigger. We all have personal screen to watch movie & play game. Unlike the arrival flight, really look like some kinda budget airline.

All in all, I enjoyed this short trip with 大男人. Looking forward to the next holiday ~

Hong Kong Trip (19-20 Aug) Day 1

Well, this was my 1st trip to Hong Kong. Very funny rite? So near, so cheap, yet never been to Hong Kong before. The reason being I’m not interested to visit another shopping heaven or city just like Singapore. Though it’s not in the list of the places I would like to visit, I don’t mind going anywhere for a short holiday!! :D

Bought this cheap deal from Groupon in June. Paid $399 per pax for 3D2N trip in Hong Kong inclusive of hotel accommodation, 1 day city tour, 2-way airport transfer & flight ticket. Not too bad lah. We totally skipped the 1 day city tour and went on with our own F&E plans. Actually, this trip was to celebrate 大男人’s bday in advance ^^ His actual bday is on 25 August.

We arrived at Changi Airport on 19 August at 6:30am to catch our 8am flight by Hong Kong Airlines. OMG…. So early & super stoned…. Got a glimpse of this beautiful sunrise while having breakfast at the terminal. Can’t remember when was the last time I saw a sunrise. Haha…

Shortly after the flight took off, breakfast was being served to us. 大男人 didn’t want anything cos we just had breakfast at the terminal. I ordered the minced meat noodle. Not that I’m hungry, I juz wanna have a taste of the foodie :P Conclusion, edible but not fantastic. Haha….

We arrived in Hong Kong 4hrs later (around 12noon) and this was my first time having to get off the plane by portable stairs and there’s shuttle bus that goes around to transport passengers from plane to the departure hall.

Met up with the local travel agent whom led us to the shuttle bus that sent us directly to the hotel. We were staying at the Harbour Plaza Resort City in New Territories, near Tin Shui Wai MTR. I know… it’s very far from the shopping area. I only got to know it after the booking has been made. No choice, just have to make do with it. Anyway, it wasn’t that bad. The subway was just 5mins walk from our hotel but it took us 30-45mins to reach city area. Lucky thing is that there are shopping malls, cinema right beside our hotel which is very convenient. I totally love our room! It’s very spacious and has nice view =)

I was really famished by the time we checked-in the hotel and unpacked our stuff. So, we went to a nearby dessert shop for something light. I heard from 大男人 and many friends that this 许留山 is very popular in Hong Kong which I truly believe cos everywhere I go, I can easily spot an outlet there.

We ordered this mango combo set. OMG…. My favourite mangoooo… everything with mango is niceeee…. We also ordered this noodle with chicken wings marinated in Swedish sauce. Quite yummy!
Ok, now I’m recharged! Ready to go out & explore Hong Kong! Walked 5mins to this Ginza subway station. We didn’t know what to do & where to buy ticket. No customer service booth or staff to ask too. When the train arrived, we just hopped in and took a free ride to the Tin Shui Wai MTR station :X There we bought our 1-day tourist ticket at the counter and off we go to Tsim Sha Tsui!

I think I ate more than I shop in Hong Kong. Every few hours I feel like eating something :P Saw many pple crowding around this stall. So, I bought a bowl of curry fishball & siew mai to try. Not sure why the local love curry fishball so much. I think the fishball is not Q enough and the foodie is quite salty but still edible.

As we continue to walk around Tim Sha Tsui area, we saw many pple Q-ing at this little shop selling pan-fried gyoza (大男人’s favourite) & pig’s intestine mee sua (my favourite). So, we join in the queue too! (Singaporeans like to queue lah. LOL!) We didn’t regret our decision. The gyozas were all freshly made and cook upon order. Very juicy & tasty! The pig’s intestine mee sua is also delicious. How I wish I can get this in Singapore.
After that we continue to walk around and do some shopping. I like to shop at these small stalls along alleys but some area, the lane is like soooo steep. I feel like dying climbing up mountain -_-"

We really walked a lot that day and almost got lost when searching for the Victoria Peak Tram Station. But we still managed to get there in 1 piece. Haha… Sad to say so, I didn’t get to take a ride on the tram up the Victoria Peak cos the Q was ridiculously long!! We had to take a cab up instead and later found out from the taxi driver that it was a school holiday that weekend. How unlucky! It was damn windy & cold up at the Victoria Peak. The night view is really nice.

Since we were there, we went to the wax museum. Woah! Most of the celebrities looked very real lor! We had lotsa fun doing funny poses in our photos.
How can we leave this place without having our dinner here? It’s foodie time again! Muahaha…. I only had this chicken & mixed veges for dinner cos still filling full from whatever junk I’ve eaten earlier. 大男人 had this hotplate seafood ee-mee which was quite good.
Ok, that’s all for now. Time to slowly crawl back to our hotel. *sigh* Such a long journey…

Been searching high & low for the concealer from Covermark and I finally found it!!! I'm talking abt Covermark from Japan and not USA. Pls do not get confused. They are 2 totally different brands and products.

I first got to know this product from a celebrity make-up artist's book and then went online to search for more info. I was surprised that this is 1 of the top selling brands in Japan and many pple were giving good reviews on the wonderful concealer that can conceal almost everything! They use it to conceal severe scar, pimples and even tattoo. And yet, I've never heard of this brand before! Probably bcos they don't have many beauty counters all around Singapore, except the only one at Takashimaya. It's a very tiny booth right beside the escalator at the cosmetic & shoes section. I was beaming with joy when I eventually found it today.

I bought the Basic Formula concealer (a solid paste type long lasting waterproof foundation) at $50 & also the ultrafine pressed powder at $77 ($22 for case, $55 for refill). I have to say the prices are a bit steep but if the products are good, I really don't mind paying for it. Very excited about it now. Will try it on Monday and give review soon!

Hmm... 3rd day I'm using this BB cream. The feeling is nice when I just apply the BB cream on my face. Good coverage. Doesn't feels sticky or too thick. But somehow my face becomes very oily in the late afternoon. I probably have to find an oil control or stay matt compact powder to go with this product. Meanwhile, I will try The Oriental Gold BB cream (also from Skin79). Will give review next week.

Though I already pre-celebrated 大男人's bday in Hong Kong, I still brought him out for dinner & movie at Iluma today. We had dinner at Tsubohachi. Luckily, the queue is not as crazy as Ramen Champion.

I ordered a serving of salmon & gyoza for sharing. The salmon is very fresh and delicious. The gyoza is pretty tasty too. Goes very well with their sesame sauce.

My main course is kimchi nabe set. Not bad in taste. Overall, we were quite happy with our meal and their service staff are very friendly & attentive too. Will definitely go back again.

Rimmel Concealer

I'm quite crazy about concealer these days. Probably bcos all of the sudden I have very serious outbreak. Not sure why though. May be bcos of stress or not having enough sleep. *shrug* Anyway, my mood is really dampen by my bad complexion everyday. Been looking around but still couldn't find the highly recommended concealer cream from Covermark, Japan.

Out of desperation, I bought this Rimmel concealer stick today. Read somewhere online that the review is quite good, so decided to give it a go.

#1 The price is inexpensive & affordable

#2 It has duo function. Outer beige color cream to conceal, inner green cream to correct the redness. Good for concealing acne & pimple scars.

#3 As the name says "Stay Matt" (I've not apply it all over my face, so I can't tell if it really stays matt. I only dot on those reddish spots on my face & so far so good.)

Received these goodies from a friend yesterday. Weeee ~ Different types of BB cream from Skin79. OMG, can last me for very long. I tried the Intense Classic Balm today. Said to be da #1 seller among Skin79 range despite its boring packaging. After trying, I have to say it's quite nice. Gives you coverage, yet you don't feel very thick or sticky. Good for ladies who has pimples scars or uneven skin tone like me! :D Will try The Oriental 1 next week. It comes with cream blusher on top of da bottle. Very cute ~

Went to Novotel Clarke Quay to do make up for these fun-loving ladies for the NuSkin event on last Saturday. Initially, we thought we have 3hrs to complete make up & hairdo for 4 ladies which was more than enough time for 2 of us to handle. Who knows, last minute the no. increased to 7! We used our fastest speed to complete the make up & hairdo for all the 7 ladies in less than 3hrs cos in between they had to leave for rehearsal. It was a very tough & stressful experience but yet challenging!

Me & my classmates were sent by The School of Make Up (TSMU) to do hair & make up for the last year Ms Earth Singapore (MES) winners & this year finalists on last Friday at the school. It was a fun & exciting experience for me. We all started at 5pm and finished at about 7:30pm. Some of us were busy doing make up while the others were busying doing hairstyling for the finalists. I managed to do the make up for Maricelle & Dominique.

After that, we pack up immediately and proceed to TABS (at Orchard Hotel) where the event will be held cos we have to touch up on the make up for the finalists when they changed into their evening gown towards the end of the night.

We stayed throughout the whole event cos we were so excited about who will be winning this year's Ms Earth title. By the time it ended around 11pm, I was limping (cos I wore heels on that day & stood for 5hrs) & famished (no time for dinner) when I reached home that night. Nevertheless, I was very happy & contented that I have participated in this event. Hope to attend more of such event & gain more experience ^^

I always have problem appyling liner along my lower lash cos I tend to tear easily. I don't like to use liquid liner for lower lash cos it will look very harsh & defined but if I use the pencil, it either get smudged easily or disappear fast.

Recently, I saw the post on Maybelline gel liner in Andy Lee's blog (local celebrity make up artist) and it seemed very good. So, I gave it a try. The line looked very harsh when I first applied it cos I bought the black color but I blended it down a bit with dark brown eye shadow at the lower lash to make the line less defined.

And guess what? The lines were still there after 4hrs despite the fact that I keep tearing (cos I cannot stop yawning. very tired lah! :X ) Now, I can create big eyes for myself already by drawing the upper & lower lash lines. Yippeee ~

I have been visiting SASA very often ever since I started my make up course. Like look around if there's any new/interesting cosmetics to buy :P They always give me the stamp card when I made purchase over $30 but I always threw it away. I'm so lazy to collect stamps and keeping these cards in my wallet made it looked so "fat". I rather they give me a SASA discount card but unfortunately they don't have :( But my colleagues managed to convince me to keep the card since I frequent the place so much and guess what? I have completed 11 stamps in 2 months! That means I spent more than $330 at SASA for the past 2 months -_-"

For the 1st set of 3 stamps I've gotten, I received 5 packets of collagen powder which I have not try yet. Too lazy to mix with water & drink. LOL!

For the 2nd set of 3 stamps, I received 5 packets of collagen jelly which I've finished them all in 1 week. Quite yummy :)

This week I got the 3rd set of 3 stamps & bought a box of collagen drink (10 bottles) at half price. Will try it next week :P

1 more stamp to go to complete this card but the next item is a facial voucher worth $100 which I'm not very keen cos they sure going to persuade me to sign up a package after facial. zzz...

I have been shopping excessively since May. I have to buy something during lunch EVERYDAY. On top of that, I do online shopping too. zzz... I can't help it cos everything I bought, I have a reason/use for it. Typical woman, I know ~

Last but not least, a box of cute jig-saw puzzle for my niece! Though she's such a spoilt brat & can really get on my nerves sometimes, I still like to buy toys & educational stuff for her. Wot a nice aunt hor? hurhurhur....

Rachel & Vincent's Wedding

Attended Rachel & Vincent's wedding on last Saturday at Peach Garden @ OCBC Centre. Gosh! I've forgotten about the very traditional Chinese wedding theme and wore this new dress out. I literally blend into the background. LOL!

What I love about attending good friend's wedding is that you get to meet & catch up with all the other friends during dinner. With the current fast pace lives we have, it's so hard to arrange an outing for everyone to meet up. There's always bound to be someone whom couldn't make it. But there's no reason for you to not turn up on your bestfriend's wedding unless you are very sick or out of town :P

For the first march-in, this group of sporting friends "danced/performed" down the red carpet along with the traditional instrumental wedding music. Shortly after, we saw the lovely couple march-in with their traditional Chinese wedding costume. Very unique :D

They had their second march-in in their modern wedding gown & suit. Just like 白马王子＆白雪公主 ~ They didn't have a third march-in but did changed into their evening (silver) gown & grey suit to send the guests off.

All in all we had a wonderful time attending their wedding banquet. Wish both of them a blissful marriage & have a baby soon! :D

I never participate in GSS (Great Singapore Sale) every year cos every shop is packed with shoppers & it take so long to queue up to try on the clothes. *roll eyes* Moreover, we have so many sales going on throughout the year (e.g. New Year Sales, Mid Year Sales, Summer Sales, X'mas Sales...etc), GSS is not really special anymore. It's just like a mega sale to clear off old stock.

But this year, I have been shopping like mad! Not bcos of the sales definitely. I just can't stop myself from shopping. Everyday I have a reason to buy something. Even if I don't have the time to shop physically, I will shop to the extreme online :X

This month, I believed I bought more than 10 dresses, a set of skin care products, some cosmetic stuff, lotsa stationery for my project & some under garments :S

I used to be very lazy. Hardly wash my make up brushes & sponges. I either wash them quarterly or replace new ones :X

But ever since I started my make up course, we have to wash our brushes & sponges after every lesson to keep them clean. We have to make it a habit so that it's hygienic to use them again on our classmates/models/customers.

Now, I'm so obssessed in cleaning my make up tools. I started digging out all my old stuff & washed them last nite. They all looked so brand new now. LOL!!

Yesterday, I went to the make up school after work as per normal. Half way through our class, while I was practising the new make up technique on my classmate, she said "eh, your friend is here". I was like "huh? my friend? I never ask any friend to be my model today leh".

Then I saw Kayden walking in to the class. I was shocked cos I didn't expect him to be here. He came specially to deliver my favourite cheese cakes to me as my early bday gift. Actually, he did SMS me before coming but my iphone went haywire & didn't rcv any sms or call until I reset it. Here's the message:

"10yrs ago, I appeared at your cybercafe and brought something you like to eat as a surprise. 10yrs later, we are still good friends. Thanks for being my da jie. So now I come to surprise you again =P"

So sweet rite?? *sob sob* Sweetest bro I ever have. Thank you, Kayden. The cheese cakes were yummy. I finished them even though I'm so fat already. LOL!!

Last year, 大男人 wanna celebrate my bday at Universal Studio Singapore (USS) but we didn't know that we have to purchase the tickets online in advance. We went there directly to get ourselves disappointed cos all the tickets were sold out for that day -_-"

This year, we will not make the same mistake again. LOL! He bought the tickets online in advance and we went to USS yesterday to celebrate my bday earlier. The weather was ok in the morning when we met up with Seleste for breakfast at Yakun at Harbourfront.

We took the monorail ride from Vivo City directly to USS and it started to rain heavily the moment we arrived. WTH??? Super spoil mood. We stood outside USS for a few mins, hesitating on whether to go in or not. But I'm so lazy to make the effort to visit Sentosa again so we proceeded with the plan. I can only pray & hope that the rain will stop soon.

We tried queueing for indoor rides which were flooded with pple seeking for shelter too. We got sooo tired walking around, squeezing with pple & wearing this stoopid poncho under the rain. We decided to find somewhere to sit down, relax, have our lunch & wait for the rain to stop.

I is damn suay. I didn't noticed that the edge of the table was smudged with chilli sauce & I got chilli sauce all over my white spaghetti top, I almost feel like fainting. It's so embarrassing! It's like as though I'm so clumsy & smudged chilli sauce all over myself during lunch. zzz....

We quickly finished up our lunch & I hopped opposite to the souvenir shop to grab a new polo tee to change :D The rain has stopped completely by then and we proceeded to queue for a few other outdoor rides. We have to queue at least 45mins for each ride & it's really killing us. Our bodies & feet were aching. LOL!

My aim was to stay in USS till night time since they open from 10am - 9pm. I wanna make full use of the money paid for the tickets. Sooo expensive. $72 per pax. But we didn't achieve that. Haha... Super tiring siah.... We crawled back to Vivo City for dinner at White Dog Cafe & headed home.

My conclusion for USS is... it's not very big, the rides are not fantastic, it's not worth paying $72 to go there. It's sooo boring ~ I will never go there again. Been there, done that. That's it! But I do appreciate both 大男人 & Seleste for accompanying me there. Thank you ~

Hong Kong Sun Kee Dessert

Just had lunch at Hong Kong Sun Kee Dessert @ IMM with my colleague. I believed they have many branches all over Singapore cos I went to the other outlet at Clementi Mall a few weeks back too. Unfortunately, they don't have their own website, so I can't share the link with you.

Their set meal is at S$6.90 and it's inclusive of appetizer (carrot/yam cake), main course (a bowl of noodle) & dessert (red bean/sesame/almond soup). Very reasonable & affordable price. And the foodie is not bad at all. I love their dessert. Very yummy.

I have always been very insecure about my complexion cos of my skin problems. I have sensitive, combination skin. It's very hard to find skincare product that suits me. I have a few acnes every now & then and leave marks on my face which take very long to fade away. I have uneven skin tone due to sensitive skin & lotsa freckles too. Overall, I have been upset about my complexion since long ago. I envy all the gals who have beautiful, flawless skin :( Now that I'm learning make up, we all have to remove our make up in class to practise make up on each other during the class. I feel so inferior everytime I removed my make up cos every one of my classmates have smooth complexion, even though it's not flawless, at least not as bad as mine :(

A few days ago, I came across the Vichy advertisement in Her World when I was looking for pictures for my school project. The description for this Vichy Normaderm range seems to be for my kinda complexion. I was so excited and went to Watson to get them today. Hope it works for me ~

Theory Exams for Make Up

Weee ~ Finally exams over! My mood is way much better compared to the day before cos I scored 87 / 100 for my theory exams! v(^_^) v

To be honest, I didn't have time to study until yesterday. I took half day afternoon leave & went to the coffee bean @ Forum to do my last minute study. *guilty* I kept reading but nothing really went into my mind. I was practically reading & flipping through my notes. But surprisingly, I done pretty well for the exams! Partly also bcos the questions were quite comon sense type :P

Even though I did well for my theory exams, I still feel sore about my bad results for practical exams cos make up is all about practical skills than theory. If my practical sux, how can I possibly do nice make up on others. Nevermind, I won't give up. I will keep trying & practising. Hopefully, I will be a pro soon! Hahaha....

Practical Exams for Make Up

My mood was pretty bad whole of yesterday cos my confidence level was way below zero. I couldn't complete my make up within the time frame (30mins for natural look & additional 15mins to touch up for sophisticated look). Even if I could complete a full make up within the time frame, it doesn't look nice & flawless to me. It's like "touch & go" everywhere without proper correction on model's feature flaws due to time constraint.

Anyway, I went to my school after work with a heavy heart, telling myself just do my best. My heart was racing when the exams starts. My brain was totally blank. I don't know what I'm doing cos I didn't expect our instructor to gave us a pic & expect us to produce the same, exact look on our model as per the pic. Super stress I would say.

After 45mins of madness, our instructor gave us all feedback on the mistakes we made and complimented a few others for specific areas which they had performed well. All in all, most of us felt demoralized after the exams cos the whole class got the same grade 7 / 15 which is really not fantastic. I didn't expect myself to score very well but I still hope I could score better. *sigh*

My classmate's BF sent me home as usual. I requested them to drop me off at the coffeeshop near Bangkit Road cos I seriously need to get my favourite food (black pepper crab) to comfort me at this point of time. I know it's crazy but I juz feel like having it.

While waiting for my order to be ready, I went to the toilet at the coffeeshop. Super hate it when most of the coffeeshop have Ladies & Gents sharing comon hand washing basins. It's soooo confusing! I actually went to the GENTS!! OMG!! Sooo embarrassing....

When I returned to the stall, my foodie is ready. I paid for it & walked away. The lady called after me cos I forgotten to collect my crabs after paying! -_-" Don't know what has gotten onto me after exams. Mind totally not there.

I didn't feel like studying for my theory exams last nite cos my mind was not there. I practically watched videos on Youtube while enjoying my crabs. Now, I'm leaving office on a half day leave to do last minute study for my theory exams tonite. Wish me luck! LOL!!!

1st Wedding Anniversary

Time really flies.... It seemed like we have only gotten married a few months back but no, we are officially married for a year already. I guess time really move faster when you are feeling blissful & contented in the marriage. We had a wonderful celebration last weekend. Just the 2 of us. I felt very spoilt & pampered by 大男人.

We begun our Saturday with a sumptuous lunch buffet at Melt ~ The World Cafe. Then we check-in at Marina Bay Sands Hotel around 3:30pm. Their standard check-in time is 3pm. Unbelievable ~ So late. We were shocked when we arrived at the reception area. Such a long queue! Apparently, there are 2 reception counters in Tower 1 but majority of the people were queueing at 1 side. We happily queue at the opposite side which has a much shorter queue :D The check-in process was pretty quick. They have a rule to check-in guest within 8mins. Nice ya?

We were quite disappointed when we got to know that all rooms with king size bed have been taken up and we have to check-in to a twin-bedded room. Anyway, nothing can be done now. It won't make any difference even if we create a scene at the reception counter ya? So, just make do with it.

I was pretty happy when we checked-in to the room. It was soooo spacious & bright!

I especially love the bathroom. It's soooo big. Almost the size of our bedroom at home. LOL! There's a huge bath tub, separate shower room, toilet & 2 basins! It would have been better if there's a tv in front of the bath tub. hurhurhur....

We went out to collect our Lion King tickets after we dumped our bag in the room. And came back shortly to receive a surprise! The hotel staff has left a plate of cute desserts in our room to welcome us. So sweet of them ^^

One should not miss going to the roof top pool of MBS. So, we we decided to go for a swim before dinner. The view is really beautiful. Too bad the weather was a bit cloudy & moody. Though I'm not a sun person but I would really prefer to have a bit of sun on that day.

The whole experience would have been better if the pool wasn't that crowded. It's like a major family day there. So many kids splashing water here & there!! zzz....

We didn't have time for dinner after the swim, so we decided to have it after the show. Anyway, we still feel very full from the lunch buffet. Our hotel package includes 2 category B Lion King tickets. We have very good seats near the stage. The musical was great. Totally enjoyed it. The animals all looked so real.

We wanted to have some light snacks & drinks at the Skypark after the musical ends but Ku De Ta is closing when we arrived at 11pm. Then The Club only serves chocolate buffet till 3am but I want something savoury ~ In the end, I took some nice pics of the nite view then headed back to our room.

We called for in-room dining service. The lady whom served the foodie to our room was extremely polite & professional. Don't ask me why there were 3 sets of main course cos 大男人 was super hungry and he ate 2 main courses! PIG!

Next day, after we checked-out of MBS, we went to Cathay Orchard to catch a movie. Actually, 2 movies ("Fast & Furious 5" and "Priest")! haha... We had our 1st movie in Cathay Platinum Movie Suite. I have to say "OMG" cos the service is fantastic & the whole movie experience is great! You never feel like watching movie in a normal cinema anymore after this :P

This is our 1st wedding anniversary, I look forward to many more anniversaries with my beloved Mr Lin. I love you, baby!

DIY Gelish

The first time I tried to do Gelish nails on myself, I failed terribly. I was quite demoralized cos the steps seemed so easy on Youtube but why can't I master it? However, I didn't give up. I continued to do some more research online and noticed what mistake I have made & corrected it. And guess what? I succeeded in creating my 1st set of Gelish nails on 2nd try. *hop around in joy*

Tada ~ I used nude color for 1st try. Will try to do 2 tones for 2nd set but that will be 3-4 weeks later cos that's what Gelish is good for! Everylasting color & shine for at least 21 days ~

The Prime Society

Ok, I know I'm very suagu cos I've never been to Dempsey Road. But the location is so ulu!! You cannot go there by bus or train. You have to either take a cab or drive there. My colleagues & I had dinner there last Tuesday. We went to The Prime Society. I kinda like the interior decor, especially the high ceiling! Very classy & cosy.

Their menu has very limited choice of appetizers which is kinda disappointing. We looked so hard to finally decided on ordering the bruschettas & caesar salad to share. Personally, I hate the salad cos it has a fermented or fishy smell which I can't stand it. All of them have no problem with the smell & finish it up nicely.

But I totally love the steak. It's being done just the way I like it. It has the distinctive grilled taste and the meat itself is very juicy. Yum yum ~

The whole place starts to "stink" in the later part of the evening cos they have an open concept kitchen and the restaurant is not very well ventilated. It was so bad till they have to open all the doors to let some fresh air in. Since we already finished our dinner, we move out to the veranda area to enjoy our wine & desserts while continuing with chit chat session.

I think I will patronise this restaurant again when I crave for good steak ^^

Beauty Drink

Ok, this is not an elixir. It does not creates miracle or neither can it transform you into a perfect beauty. But it does makes you feel more awake & have better complexion when you drink it in a long term basis. I think it's because the drink itself makes you wanna pee very often, hence, helps to detox your body a bit. Then we also know that wolfberries are good for eye sight.

I have been drinking 1 - 2 bottles per day for 2 weeks already and I would say I don't feel as tired as before anymore! No joke! I used to feel very sleepy after lunch but now I don't. I feel awake throughout the day, even till night! Previously, I was glued to my seat during office hours. I hardly have time to go toilet. But now I have no choice, I have the urge to visit the loo very often and I noticed my complexion gets better lately.

Lip & Cheek Tint!

Most of the women in Singapore have combination skin problem. Same for me. My face tends to get very oily in the mid day and my blusher can never last long enough. I have to do touch up at least twice a day, if I wanna maintain that rosy cheek -_-"

My other problem is lip color. I adoressss nude color lip gloss but it's so difficult to make lip gloss long lasting! You have to do touch up after every meal or coffee. Aargghh!!

Finally, I found the ultimate solution! PosieTint from Benefit. It gives you a very natural, long lasting pinkish cheek & lip. Just the way I want it! Doesn't make my face oily too. If you prefer to have rosy cheek, you can try Benetint, also from Benefit. But I think it's more suitable for tanned complexion.

The super, duper happy me. I applied PosieTint on my cheek & lip today :P

Another big parcel arrived at my office yesterday. It's my aluminium make up case!!! The dark pink crocodile skin on the exterior of the case looked so classy & nice. Hurhurhur... Damn happy. But what worries me now is the weight. The empty case by itself feels ok to carry around but I can't imagine how heavy it will be after loading it with all my cosmetics. The previous soft material case already feels quite heavy to me now with half of my cosmetics in it. -_-" I think soon I will have very muscular arms. LOL!!!

大男人 wonders when I would ever start running since the day he bought the pair of running shoes for me. Last Saturday, I initiated for an evening jog nearby our place. He gave me the doubtful face. *tsk tsk* No faith in me!

At 7pm, I was fully dressed up & ready to go! We did a bit of warm up before we start. After running 1.2km, I feel like dying of dehydration & felt dizzy. ROFL!!! 大男人 complained my speed is too slow but I'm here to jog not to run! *tsk tsk* I walked for another 400m before we stopped to do some cool down exercise then went to nearby coffeeshop to buy dinner.

Feels tired but contented that I finally took the first step & started jogging! Weeee ~

D&D 2011

This year D&D just don't feel as fun as last year's. May be we had lotsa fun last year and my expectation was pretty high this year. And also, may be bcos I was too tired & drained out by my nite classes to fully enjoy the evening.

This year's theme is Masquerade Party. Many colleagues were very excited about what to wear & where to get beautiful masks. But I simply has no time to think about all these. I even have to get my bro to help me buy a few masks from People's Park for me & my colleagues. haha...

Our HR has officially announced that we could go off earlier to prepare for the night. My spirit was quite high. Left office after lunch to do my hair at the salon. Then had a quick shower at home, rested a bit then dressed up for the party! I was quite excited cos I'm going to see Babe at the party (even though she has resigned last year) and this is the 1st time I'm bringing my spouse to the D&D!

Unfortunately, the program for the nite wasn't very well planned. Too much concentration on our foreign talents -- Indian workers. Since our emcee himself is an Indian, he tends to communicate with them in Tamil, sing in Tami & do the trendy Indian dance *roll eyes* It's a bit too much already! I can't stop yawning throughout the party. It was soooo boring..... I felt so embarrassing to bring 大男人 along. I think he's bored to death but too polite to tell me. The prizes for lucky draw aren't very attractive this year as well. As usual, I didn't get anything. zzz...

Last year, our spirit were so high until we have to go else where to continue drinking after D&D. This year, we just felt like going home & sleep. Hopefully, we have a better D&D program next year ~

Tada ~ This is the most "in" thing to do on nails now. Gelish nails! Actually, these are my 2nd set already. I've forgotten to take pics of the previous set done before CNY. Golden ones with white flora design. Very nice too. Totally love Gelish cos the shine can last up to 21 days! I kept my previous set for a month! :P

I never do Gelish on my feet cos nobody really take notice of the color & design on feet. Don't wanna waste my $$$ :D But my manicurist mixed 2 colors to gave me this set. Quite unique I think.

Orientation

Yesterday, was my first lesson at The School of Make Up. Nothing much, more of an orientation. Will start first lesson tomorrow. We will be having different instructors teaching us on the various techniques of make up. I totally enjoyed my lesson last evening. I was laughing away from 630pm - 930pm. Peter Angel (my instructor) is such a bubbly and humerous guy.

These are the essential materials I need for practical lessons. Mostly in-house product. Since we need to used them soon and I have no time to source around outside, might as well purchase them directly from school. Anyway, the prices are quite reasonable. Whole set cost me a bomb!

The School of Make Up

After much persuasion, 大男人 finally decided to upgrade himself by picking up a Diploma course. But at least this time he's going to study something that interest him -- logistic, supply chain. He will be starting his course in April and thrice a week (Wed, Fri & Sat). I would be so bored without him at home ~

So, I was thinking of whether to pick up a course to learn a new skill or sign up a dance/aerobic class to kill some time. And I decided to pursue the art of make up & hairstyling. Have been asking around and surfing net for some feedback & info and eventually signed up with The School of Make Up. I'm going to attend my first lesson today. *so exciting* It's going to be every Mon, Wed & Fri for the next 5-6 months. Very tiring but time flies. Look forward to completing the course & be able to doll up every of my frens' face ^^

Ayam Penyet Ria

Last Saturday, me & 大男人 had dinner at Ayam Penyet Ria located at B1 of Jurong Point. I can only use one word to describe my meal -- Fantastic! The chicken is crispy and delicious. It only cost $6.90!

Best part is the sambal chilli. OMG... it's heaven ~ It has been so long since I had such tasty sambal chilli. It's very hot & spicy but damn addictive! 大男人 was crying out loud when he tasted a bit of the chilli and concluded that I'm insane for having 3 servings of the chilli paste. Yum yum...

We also ordered a basket of kerupuk. I only like the pinkish prawn crackers cos the yellow ones tasted a bit bitter. Yucks.

After dinner, we went to catch "World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles". Just as I thought it would be another lame alien movie, it proved me wrong. The storyline is in fact, not too bad. Some scenes were very emotional and touching, made me shed a few tears :P There were also a lot of exciting, action scenes.

We went to shop for my running shoes after movie. 大男人 complain that I'm getting too fat. Need to start exercising already :( Actually, apart from swimming, cycling & dancing, I really hate all other form of exercise or outdoor sports. And I hate running most. But everyday after work, I see pple jogging leisurely around the big canal next to our flat, I envy them. I wish I can jog LEISURELY like them too and stay healthy but I find running/jogging a real pain in the ass for me.

I had a hard time choosing a pair of running shoes. Tried out a few pairs but none of them really caught my eyes. I felt sorry and pity that guy whom served me cos I couldn't make up my mind. Then 大男人 keep reminding me that this is a pair of running shoes, I should feel comfortable in it and not caring of whether it looked nice on me or not. LOL!! But I have to like the shoes before I could wear them out right? :P And this kinda shoes comfirm comfy one mah. Every pair I also feel comfy. How to decide?

Anyway, it's almost 10pm then and the shop is closing soon. So, I have to quickly make a decision and chose this pair of Adidas running shoes. 大男人 being so sweet, he paid for the shoes and hope that I will genuinely pick up jogging as a regular hobby. OMG, now I'm feeling stressed :S

He also bought a new pair of Adidas running shoes for himself. So, we both can jog together. So sweet hor? :P I love moi hubby ~

Malacca Trip

I have been so busy since the beginning of 2011 till I have no time to blog at all! I seriously need a break, weekend getaway, holiday, anything! Super stress!

Recently, I went on a weekend getaway in Malacca with 大男人 on 4 & 5 March. The trip was organized by his navy chiefs & officers. Most of them brought along their partner or family. I was shocked to see such a big group for this short trip. Total of 58 pax in 2 coaches!

We left Singapore around 8am+ and arrive at the ever so popular Yong Ping around 10am. Nothing much lah. I chin cai ordered the Yong Tau Foo soup then go for my toilet break since they say later got buffet lunch at Fruit Farm.

We arrived at the D-Paradise Fruit Farm around noon time. The place is damn ulu. Don't think anyone has heard of this place.

Freshly cut fruits & lime juice were being prepared for us when we arrived. Then our friendly organizer happily announced that this was our very healthy buffet lunch. At that very moment I went "HUH??!! I should have eaten more at Yong Ping earlier!" Then he kept laughing and say joking only. Buffet lunch will be served shortly. *phew*

After enjoying the fruits & diluted lime juice, we walked quite a bit under HOT sun to another sheltered area to watch some local performances while having our buffet lunch. It wasn't fantastic. But this kinda ulu area, don't expect much lah. After lunch, we had a tour around the Fruit Farm.

Honestly speaking, I was quite disappointed. My impression of a fruit farm is a place where you could pluck fresh fruits off the trees & enjoy them on the spot. Eat-all-you-can, you know? But here... I can only see tags showing what tree is this and how the fruits look like but the actual tree is either bare or dead already -_-" Sadness..... I think partly bcos of the weather too. I'm dying of heat there. So hot until I don't feel like taking any pics.

The only pple whom really enjoy this trip are the kids. They were so happy to see real, live ostriches, feeding them. See some trees & fruits (not many variety left lah). I'm only looking forward to the shopping trip, visiting the night market, eating at street stalls...etc

After the Fruit Farm Tour, we headed straight to our hotel (Holiday Inn Melaka). Not bad siah! The room is very clean, spacious & corporate looking. We were very lucky to get a room with nice view of the Straits of Malacca. Can even see the swimming pool from our room. Too bad no pretty babes :P

After checking in to the hotel, we have 3hrs of free time before we go for dinner. Many went for a swim cos the weather is hot but we never bring our swimming attire. We thought of going to the Mahkota Parade (most popular shopping mall) since it's within walking distance from our hotel. But I feel sooo lethargic from this hot & humid weather, I just wanna lie in bed & take a nap.

We all gathered at the hotel lobby around 7:30pm and took the coaches to a nearby Chinese restaurant called Bei Zhan for dinner. The place looked very impressive and the food are good! We had a fantastic dinner there.

The coaches alight us at the Jonker Street, famous for its night market after dinner. We took a slow walk from 1 end to the other. Saw so many stalls selling carrot cake, char kway teow, muah chee and lots of other local delicacies. Was looking forward to tasting them but felt so full from dinner till I wanna puke already. In the end, I can only "see-food" than tasting them :(

You must be wondering why the pics looked so bright when I said it's night market cos I forgot to bring the camera on the night before and only took the pics on the next day :D

I managed to try the famous durian puff from this shop. Super yummy! No space to try their famous pineapple though we bought a box.

There are many chendol stalls along Jonker Street but they told me this is the most popular stall. Can tell lah, cos the queue super long at night.

Other than durian puff & chendol, we also tried ice cream in cute eggy form and fruitty drinks in nice bottle.

Last but not least, we bought this pair of cute couple tee from a shop at RM55.

After the night market tour, we took a 10mins trishaw ride back to hotel at RM15. I think it will take 20mins if we wanna walk back. The trishaws are decorated with overwhelming plastic flowers & lightings. I was stunned when they asked us to hop into one. Look like 花车 -_-" Some even have stereo system that play oldies loudly. Haha...

We quickly went back to our room, deposited our shopping stuff, freshen up then went out for some beers again. The night is still young, even at 11pm! We even managed to meet up with 1 of our World of Warcraft friend & his gf for coffee till 2am. OMG ~ What a long day ~

Next day, we had morning call at 7:30am but we only managed to wake up for breakfast at 9am. The hotel serves a wide spread of buffet for breakfast! I don't know where to start! But I have to keep reminding myself don't eat too much cos we're going to check out at 11:30am then go for lunch.

Since the coaches cannot drive through the narrow Jonker Street, we have to alight & do some walking to our lunch venue. While walking, we passed by this place where they filmed "Little Nonya".

We finally arrived at this popular Peranakan restaurant. (Don't ask me why everywhere we go, everything we ate is famous & popular cos that's what they told me lah. When you go on holiday, they only wanna bring you to the most popular spot. LOL!!)

The interior of the restaurant looked very nice, very Peranakan! haha...

They serve very traditional home-cooked Peranakan dishes which I think so-so only. Not very fantastic. But I love the chendol. The coconut milk is just nice. You don't feel disgusting even after having 2 bowls! :X

Your Malacca trip is not completed if you don't visit the famous San Shu Gong (三叔公) to buy some local tit bits back to Singapore.

My mother-in-law reminded me to help her buy 2 packets of instant white coffee before we left Singapore. And many others in the group also highly recommended this coffee too. After trying it out ourselves, I have to say it really taste very good, especially when it's chilled! It has a very creamy & rich taste. We also bought some other local tit bits for our parents & niece ^^

While waiting for others to finish their shopping, I saw a super long queue opposite San Shu Gong which I found out later that it's the most popular Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls restaurant. There are a few other restaurants selling same stuff but not as popular. Seriously, I'm not sure if I'm willing to queue and wait that long under hot sun just to hv a plate of nice chicken rice. My mood would hv been killed by the hot weather already. Intially, the organizer wanna arrange our lunch there but they don't accept advance reservation and I think the place is too small to accommodate 58 pax :S

Last look at Malacca before we leave... Time really flies... We are heading back to Singapore already :(

The organizer suggested to go Kukup for a nice seafood dinner before heading back to Singapore. But too bad, our driver say too far already and it's not on the way at all. Suggested us to go another kelong restaurant which is nearer to the 2nd Link custom for dinner to avoid traffic jam on Sunday night. *sob sob*

So, we arrived at this ulu kelong restaurant. I hope they serve nice seafood here. Unfortunately, no. The seafood wasn't very fresh. I was quite disappointed.

Well, I m not complaining. Just giving feedback to all of you whom wanna visit Malacca. Cos this trip has been heavily subsidized by some generous pple, so we shall not complain at all :P Moreover, I really did enjoy this weekend trip cos of the company. They are all very fun & spontaneous pple. Hope to have another trip soon!

Emotions

大男人 has this weird habit of smelling me which I cannot understand why. Then last nite he told me "Die! I think I cannot live without your smell!". What smell??!!!

I asked him what smell? Nice fragrance or stinky BO??? He can't explain, just said that it's an unique smell. Eeewwww.... damn creepy. He's the 2nd person whom told me this liao. Whatever it is... I'm glad I have a unique smell that attracts pple but just hope it's not stinky lah. WAHAHAHAHA.......

Old Friend

Met up with an old friend for dinner at Raffles City today. Haven't seen her for ages. Partly bcos of some misunderstandings previously and we both stopped talking to each other. After so long, we finally picked up the courage to chat with each other over MSN and today we had dinner together. I was pretty nervous cos I wonder if we both will feel awkward. But I'm glad it turned out to be fine. We had a wonderful evening catching up with each other. Feels like old time. So many things to talked about but so little time. Hope to see her again soon.

We both had sausages with rosti. Damn yummy!

We also ordered this meat balls with fries. The mushrooms sauce is very creamy and delicious.

Potluck @ Work

Just had a wonderful potluck in office. First time doing this in current company. It was really fun since we create flavors and nutritional stuff, we have beverage, sweet & savoury labs to create various unique recipes!

Everybody started to display their own foodie in the meeting room. All very excited!

I'm just too lazy to cook. So I conveniently ordered an Oriental Chicken Shepherd's Pie from Dad's Shepherd's Pie. LOL!!!

This is 1 of my favourite Thai desserts!! Made by my Thai colleague. It's glutinuous rice topped with coconut syrup and mango. Yummy ~

Oh! My Shepherd's Pie is gone! :D Everybody say it's yummy.

Dinner with 大男人

Damn suay... just when 大男人 got mood, wanna bring me out for nice dinner. Everywhere I wanna go either don't have dinner menu or closed for private function. And then I'm so busy at work till I have no time to check online on where else is nice to go. In the end, we agreed to go Nandos @ Bugis. Cos everytime we go Bugis Junction, we see super long queue at Nandos and wonder if their food is really that fantastic?

The queue was pretty long when we were there last nite. Luckily, we don't have to wait very long for a table. When I first look at the menu, I can understand why pple like it here. The prices on menu were very reasonable and affordable. The combo meals for 2, 4 & 6 pax were even better! 大男人 said Nandos is very popular and successful in Indonesia. Not sure how's the standard in Singapore.

We both ordered a combo meal for 2 to share. Cost about $40++ for the set meal. Includes big serving of potato wedges (very crunchy and yummy!), mixed salad (very fresh!), chicken strips (marinated in delicious sauce!), 2pcs of quarter chicken (very normal. only diff is the sauce) and lemonade juice. We can't really finish everything cos the servings were quite big. Only interesting thing is you get to choose the level of spicyness for the chicken. Overall, the food is not bad but not extremely fantastic.

After dinner, I bought an iPhone 4 for 大男人 as X'mas pressie. Now we both have couple phone! LOL! Can share apps and stuff :P

Mum's Bday

Brought my mum out on last Friday to celebrate her bday in advance. Thought of visiting the Sky Park after dinner, so we went to Marina Square for foodie. Stoopid 大男人 anyhow give info that Marina Square got a Soup Restaurant. I was pretty disappointed when we found out that there isn't one there! I was so bloody craving for the chicken lor. *tsk tsk*

In the end, we switch to Manhattan Fish Market thinking that my mum may wanna try other cuisine rather than Chinese foodie all the time. Hmm... forgot to take pic of all the foodie cos too busy entertaining my restless niece -_-"

This is what happen when kid see ice-cream-look-alike-thingy. She don't care whether it's mayonnaise, whipped cream or real ice cream. She just wanna eat them all!

I specially informed the waitress to present a mud cake with candle on it after our meal. Very yummy mud cake :P

Nowadays I don't seem to be able to control my emotions very well. I feel very stressful at work cos 'someone' enjoys bugging me everyday, everyday hour. And it really irritates the hell out of me. I'm already at the verge of exploding due to overwhelming work and now, him. I have mood swing every other day and I tried not to bring it home with me to avoid hurting my loved ones. But eventually it did happened...

I had an argument with 大男人 last nite cos he wanna attend an overnight gaming event on this Friday at SCAPE with a group of pple he don't event know and have never met before. I don't understand why I was so upset, angry and affected by it. I could have just suffer in silence, go one corner suck thumb & be angry by myself then get over with it. Anyway, it's just gonna be a 2-day thingy over the weekend. I know that by showing it, he will definitely cancel his appointment just to make me happy and I seriously don't want him to 'sacrifice' for me. But the evil side of me couldn't control my temper & emotions, I just showed him attitude whole of last nite.

Being the most loving hubby, he really cancelled his appointment and I felt really, really bad. I don't know what I want. If he goes, I'm unhappy. If he fore go this event (knowing that he loves to attend gaming event), I feel bad too. It's really frustrating feeling like this. I think I'm really feeling very stress but that's not a very good excuse.

I'm really sorry, baby. Thanks for always placing me at the #1 position in your life. Likewise, you are always the #1 priority in my life. I have always put aside my free time, weekends, public holidays for you. I wanna do everything and get everything for you to make you happy. Thanks for being so accommodating and understanding last nite. Showing me love even when I'm acting kinda unreasonable.

Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Xpress

Since the Kopitiam Food Court @ IMM closed down (not sure for renovation or closed down permanently), we have 1 lesser place to go for lunch. Our daily expenditure has increased since we are forced to dine at cafes, restaurants or fastfood chain which cost us averagely $7 - $10 a meal. But no choice lah, the weather has been so bad nowadays. We will die of heat stroke if we were to dine at neighbourhood coffeeshops.

Yesterday we went to IMM again. The $7.80 nett lunch set at 鲜定味台湾快餐 (Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Xpress) caught our attention. No GST, no service charge, 1 main course + side dishes + soup-of-the-day... hmm... not bad.

I ordered this 三杯鸡 set. Overall taste is not bad except the chicken meat is a bit tough like being cooked for too long or pre-heated too many times. The soup-of-the-day was winter melon soup and it tasted very delicious!

I topped up $1 for 卤肉饭 (Braised Pork Rice) instead of plain rice. They really gave me a lot of braised pork on the rice. Topped up another $1 for original Taiwan bubble tea which normally cost at least $1.50 per cup at Sweet Talk. The jasmine flavor in tea is very nice and it's not too sweet. Love it.

Most likely we will visit this place again for lunch. I wanna try their sweet & sour pork next time ^^

We are proud to announce that we are the owners for 1 of the Senja Gateway flats today! *beaming with joy* After 1yr of balloting, went thru so many disappointment, we finally got a nice queue no. for a BTO!!

Took half day leave today and went to Toa Payoh HDB Hub myself to submit the required documents and pay the option fees. Though a bit sad that 大男人 is not with me today cos he went for reservist but I'm glad that I have my wonderful mum, my bro & his family to support me there. They waited outside the office for me while I went thru the whole unit selection process. The whole process was quite fast & easy. We don't have to wait very long.

After that, we went to take a look at the Senja Gateway showcase. Btw, my bro also got the same BTO as me but his appointment is on this Sunday. Hopefully, he can get a unit on the same floor as me :P

Now the love nest issue has been solved. Just have to wait for 4-5yrs (so long!) for its completion. Time being, we have to start saving for baby plan & home renovation (after our Japan holiday lah. LOL!).

As I've always said, I never asked for a super handsome or wealthy man as my husband. As long as our combined income can support the household and still be able to live comfortably, I'm contented. I only asked for a man whom will loves me, respect me & dotes on me more than I do to him. And I'm glad that I've found that special man.

Can't believe that we've only been married for 5 months cos it feels like we have been married for so long already. Like we've known each other for very long. Like we've been staying together for very long. These 5 months have been one of the best part in my life. I'm enjoying every moment as a happily married woman ^^

I don't deny that I'm super lonely without 大男人 at home. Nobody to let me irritate :( And yes, I do miss him like hell. Time pass super slow without him. I have a hard time trying to sleep every nite. *sigh* But 1 thing I'm very glad is, he always make me feel very loved & secure at all times. He will call me whenever he's travelling. Just as I thought this time he couldn't call cos he's on reservist and not allowed to bring along his HP, he caught me by surprise. Rang me from Thailand this evening when I was at my mum's place for dinner. I was contemplating on whether to answer this overseas call or not cos I don't have any friend from Thailand. When I eventually picked up the call, I was overjoyed to hear his voice. Just simple thing like this made me feel very contented & blissful. There are so many things I wanna tell him, so many news to share, so many questions to ask for his opinion but when I hear his voice, I just completely forgotten about what I wanna say to him.

A simple gesture like kissing me goodnite, giving me a big hug before going to work everyday, makes me love him more & more each day. And today, a surprise call from Thailand just to say "I love you" put on a smile on my face. Can't wait for him to come back on this Saturday.

P.S. Though I don't say it as much as you do but I'm sure you know and can feel that I do love you very much too. *muacks*

Met up with ex-colleagues yesterday for movie at Filmgarde Iluma. The movie "Eat, Pray, Love" is a great movie, especially for divorcees. Open up their heart & mind. This movie is very genuine. Really love it and enjoyed it.

Before movie, we went to Crystal Jade @ Liang Seah Street for dinner. I ordered a set meal which consist of a bucket rice, soup & chinese tea that only cost $7.80++. Good deal I would think ^^ I'm glad the foodie is not only cheap but also very delicious.

The bucket rice had lotsa ingredients in it. You can see all the chicken meat, chinese sausage & mushroom on top of the rice. Yummy!

All in all, I felt very happy with my dinner yesterday :D

Breeze @ Scarlet Hotel

After hearing so many good comments about Scarlet Hotel, finally got to visit the place myself on Friday. It is a boutique hotel along Erskine Road (directly opposite Maxwell Market). I love the place cos it's small, cosy and decorated in red & black.

Went with a bunch of my colleagues after work on Friday to have a good meal and chill at Breeze. It's really a nice place for relaxation, after a hard day at work, on the rooftop. We were lucky that nite was not too humid and we get to see nice skyline from our table.

We started the nite with camwhoring, as usual.... That's what normally happen when a bunch of women get together :D

Then we settled down a bit with nice bottle of wine.... actually we had two. Their house wine was pretty smooth and good! We were enjoying the wine, exchanging stories while waiting for our dinner to be served ^^

We had Seafood Avocado Salad for starter. The prawns & mussels were very fresh. Loved the salad except the avocado :S

Then we had Portobello Pizza for appetizer. If you are a fan of mushrooms & cheese, you will definitely love this dish! It's soooo delicious!!

Here comes our main course ~

Whole Red Snapper. Very fresh fish, filled with BBQ/grilled flavor. Very yummy ~

Spring Chicken. So-so only, not fantastic. The chicken breast meat is a bit too dry. Don't like the sauce. Got a weird taste.

Filo Salmon. Though I'm not a fan of salmon, I have to say this dish is very unique and tasty! There were mashed spinach & salmon in this baked flaky pastry.

Last but not least, we had Chocoloate Fondue for dessert! Yum yum... sorry forgot to take pic cos too excited to see the platter coming to us :P

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves a lot that nite.

Men Men Don Don

Been wanting to try out the Japanese food at this Men Men Don Don @ West Mall for quite some time already cos everytime I passed by, it's always full of customers. May be also bcos the eatery itself is small and can only accommodation about 18 customers at one time, that's why it's always full house all the time :D

Finally got to try out the foodie there this week with 大男人. The prices for their katsu-don and ramen are quite reasonable & affordable (i.e. Katsu-don @ $4.80 & ramen @ $6.80). I think that's the main reason why it attracts so many customers, especially students.

We ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Don and Charsiew Ramen. They tasted ok, nothing fantastic. For the price we paid, no complain except it's a bit too salty. Don't think we will go back again though. Nothing special. =D

Super, super happy today!!! We have been going down to People's Park Complex 4 times since last week. To check, compare & enquire about Hokkaido tour package in Jan 2011 from various travel agencies. Finally, we decided to book the 7 Days Winter Wonderland package from CTC Travel on Tuesday. And today, we booked our JAL flight tickets separately from ASA Holidays.

You must be thinking why we wanna book land tour & flight tickets separately? Of course, it's more expensive but all the travel agencies told us that if we wanna have an extension in Tokyo after Hokkaido tour, it will be subjected to airline approval. If our request failed, we have to fly back to SG together with the tour group which we don't want. Hence, we chose not to take the gamble and rather pay slightly more for a more confirm trip. Nevertheless, we still have to pray hard for our tour group to confirm cos they need at least 15 pax, in order to get the group confirmed.

Now, we can only hope everything will goes according to our plan. Really looking forward to this winter holiday with 大男人. It's gonna be FUN!!!

Insomnia

I have insomnia for about 3 weeks already and it's really getting on my nerves. I have problem falling asleep at nite and I don't know why. Everyone says it must be work stress. I think so too cos I can't think of any other reason. I either sleep late like 3am+ or I woke up in the middle of the nite with every 1-2hrs intervals -_-" It's really very frustrating when you are soooo damn tired but couldn't go to sleep.

Yesterday, I finally when to see a doctor and I got sleeping pills! YAY! Took 1 pill last nite and I had a good sleep throughout the nite. Super happy! Will continue to take the pills for another 2 more days then stop and see whether I could sleep well on my own or not. Don't wanna depend too much on pills =)

OMG!!! Finally, Lady Luck is smiling at us!!!

大男人 & I received a letter from HDB weeks ago, inviting us to select some leftover units from Boon Lay Grove. Though the location is not where we wanted but at least something, better than nothing. We have been balloting for almost a year already, definitely more than 10 times and all the times we have lousy Q no.

Everyday I have been monitoring the leftover units from Boon Lay Grove, hoping that there will be some nice units left for us to pick on 22nd Sept. Sometimes I pray all the units will be taken up before our turn to select cos most likely it's gonna be those low level units which we definitely will not pick. What a dilemma...

And today... my bro sms me saying that he got Q no. 00138 for Senja Gateway! How envy ~ I quickly went home to check my email after movie with 大男人, OMG!!! we got Q no. 00099 !!!! Super nice!!! I never expect the results for Senja Gateway to be released so soon. I thought it will be released by end of Sept where we will be left with no choice but to take up the Boon Lay Grove offer. Now we are not sure if HDB allow us to reject the Boon Lay Grove and accept Senja Gateway or not. Have to call them tomorrow to check. Hopefully, we can pick Senja Gateway cos it's nearer to my parents and in-laws, and also my bro will be staying at the same estate! That would be so great!! *pray hard hard*

Was feeling damn stressful from work lately. My work load is really up to my neck till I couldn't breath already. I felt like I would break down & cry any moment. The work can never be finished. So dreading to go work everyday. Feels damn demoralising. Hai ~

I went to Bugis Junction today to meet 大男人 cos he wanna get a new book from Kinokuniya and I wanna get myself a new pants (cos I burnt my favourite pants last Sunday. zzZZ). Due to my bad mood, instead of being focus and juz buy what I needed, I went on a retail therapy again -_-" In the end, I bought 1 pants, 2 dresses, 3 skirts & 4 blouses. Now I burn a hole in my pocket. *Long sigh* Damn sianzzzzzz.............

Today is 大男人 actual birthday but he didn't wanna dine out or celebrate cos I already gave him his bday present last wkend (Genting Trip). He suggested we juz go back to my mum's place for dinner as usual cos I always go back on Monday & Wednesday.

My dad called me around 6pm to pick me up from work, saying that he's around that area and we went home together. He rarely hv dinner at home with us, unless he's around that area but I think today he make it a point to come home cos it's 大男人's bday, which is very sweet of him to do so.

When we arrived home, I can see my mum busy preparing a sumptuous dinner in da kitchen. Then my bro bought a chocolate cake for 大男人 too. It's really nice to see my family gathering together to celebrate my hubby's bday. Felt really touched to see them being so nice to him. Hope he feels being loved by them too.

Like any other kids, my little niece loves chocolate. See da way she eats. Soooo dirty but sooo cuteee.... LOL!

Work, work, work

Super, super tired ....

Spent whole day at Regent Hotel today. We had an annual biz meeting there from 8:30am - 5:30pm and I have to be there early to ensure all arrangements were done as per my request and every equipments were functioning properly. Arrived there at 8am and to my horror, most of da participants had arrived. I quickly ran thru my list and did a quick check before da meeting started on time at 8:30am.

Everything went on smoothly. Tea break was great. Nice little snacks with good coffee & tea. Just that we had too little time to enjoy them. We only have 15mins for tea break.

We all had buffet lunch at Basilico around 12:30pm. They serve wonderful Italian buffet with some local dishes for those whom prefer Asian taste. Again, no time to eat. All I did whole day was running here & there, making sure everybody have a good time, all da programme run smoothly.

The meeting was supposed to end at 5:30pm but over ran till 6:45pm -_-" Everybody were dead tired and famished. After meeting, we had a quick photo session cos my boss wanna hv a nice group photo. Then we all proceed to Summer Palace for a nice sit down dinner. Finally, we could all really relax and enjoy ourselves. All of us had a lot of beers and fun at da dinner.

1 big event down.... another 1 to go tomorrow. But not so much on my side. I'm just assisting a bit here & there. Can't wait for this week to pass faster.

Can't believe we have only been together for 2yrs. Felt like we have known each other for decades! 2yrs ago, same date, me & 大男人 got together as a couple. I will never forget those days, how we met & fell in love with each other. Till today, I still love him tonnes! I'm glad that I have married him, never once have doubt about my decision, no regrets! He's really a very wonderful hubby to me.

Genting Trip 21 - 23 Aug

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!

Woke up early at 5am last Friday to catch our coach to Genting. If you read my previous post, you should have known that this trip was a bday present from me to my beloved 大男人. Luckily, the pick-up point was at Bt Panjang Plaza (BPP), not far from our home. Otherwise, we have to woke up even earlier -_-" We met our coach driver at BPP taxi stand & happily hopped onto da premium coach. The seats were super spacious & comfy!

The coach took off at 6:30am and headed straight to Genting through Tuas 2nd Link. We arrived at Genting in slightly less than 6hrs, with only 1 stop at Yong Ping for light meal & another quick stop for toilet break. Good thing is that we don't have to wait till 2pm to check-in to da Resort Hotel. Glad that I've topped up a bit for this hotel than First World Hotel cos their rooms were much bigger & more comfortable.

The wardrobe is connected to da bathroom. So you don't have to walk in & out to get your clothes. So nice ~

We have done almost everything during da 2-nite stay at Genting. We have been eating at various F&B outlets. Conclusion: everything is expensive and not fantastic.

We bought da 1-day pass for outdoor theme park but everything seemed so boring that we only took a few rides which we deemed were most exciting in da whole theme park. In fact, we only had 6 rides. Luckily, da full day ticket was not very expensive.

We went to play shooting games. Used to be air gun where you shoot at paper target board. At da end of da game, they gave you back da paper to see your results and keep it as a souvenir. But now they have upgrated to digital system. Felt as though you were playing those arcade shooting game except da price is more expensive and da guns felt a lot heavier.

Other than these activities, we also went for movie. Airbender really sux like hell, I fell asleep half way thru da movie. We also went to KTV and sang for 3hrs straight! Went to arcade and played silly games to LOL. Gone to LAN shop, tried to play Left 4 Dead and Diablo II together but couldn't create/connect to any games. Ended up surfing net or playing solo game ourselves. So boring, felt cheated :D Last but not least, we went to da casino to try our luck and kill some time.

Overall, we did many things in 2 days. Kinda boring but this trip is about relaxation and spending quality time together. Hope he enjoyed it.

I have a long day at work tomorrow. So dreading it ~

Wah... really long time never update my blog cos super busy at work lah. My superior has left da company last month. Since then I worked like a slave ~ One person juggling 2 persons' job. *sob sob*

Anyway, here's da new update. I went to Batam again last Saturday with 大男人 and his buddies for a 1-day tour. This time we were there for Go-Kart, Paint Ball & Massage. Hence, we didn't spend much time in shopping. Anyway, nothing to shop lah.

Go-Karting was really fun! I don't dare to drive very fast cos my vehicle was trembling like hell. I scared half way thru da race, everything come off. LOL!!!!!! All da guys were speeding like they were in F1 Grand Pix -_-" But don't mistaken that I'm driving like a slowpoke hor... I never road hog. Some other gals were slower than me and that's bcos their vehicles got problem :P The price is S$15 for 10mins but they gave us additional 5mins ^^

After that we went for more adventure! Paid S$25 per pax for 2 rounds of game. Each round we have 25 paint balls. Rules of da game: 1) capture opponent's flag = 20pts, 2) shoot opponent = 10pts. The team with most points win. And our team WON!!! *flex muscles*

But there's always a price to pay for all da fun you had.... It felt like an injection when I got 'shot' by opponent. First is da pain then comes da numbness. After that I saw a little bump on my arm like mosquito bite. The bruise only appear at nite. Bloody PAIN lor! That's why I think they should call it PAIN BALL instead of paint ball lah. LOL!! Some other frens whom got 'shot' too, their bruises appeared immediately on da spot. Damn scary ~

Later on, we all went to a massage centre for quick shower and 1.5hrs massage at only S$20!! Felt damn shiokz and refreshing after that. Time really flies when you're on holiday. Our tour guide quickly sent us back to da ferry terminal to collect our return ferry tickets. Then we had delicious dinner at a local restaurant in da shopping mall opposite ferry terminal. Cheap & yummy! *slurps*

Now, I'm looking forward to our short getaway trip to Genting this weekend to celebrate 大男人's bday ^^

New Union Square

Actually, to many pple, it's no longer new lah. But it is still new to me cos I haven't been to Union Square after it has moved & renovated. Last nite, I finally stepped foot into Union Square again. Haven't been SERIOUSLY dancing ever since I started with my wedding planning. hmmm.... *rub chin* that's like almost a year liao! In between of cos I did went to some salsa parties or gatherings but most of da time I'm bz mingling with frens or drinking more than I dance -_-"

The "new" Union Square really looked more glam & stylish compared to da old one. With all da special lightings & nice furnitures, this place looked more like a proper chill-out lounge now. I arrived there at abt 9pm & had 8 dance within 1.5 hrs. My legs really went wobbly after da last dance. LOL! I'm so glad that after disappearing for so long, pple still remembers me & ask me for a dance. I hv to apologise for some clumsiness in between dance cos so long nvr dance already, some of da moves I kinda forgotten & dunno how to execute :P But we all hv great fun last nite lah! Look forward to my next visit to Union Sq again. Hopefully next week! ^^

9th JJ Salsarengue Annual Party

Attended JJ Salsarengue Annual Party at The Pavillion (near Far East Square) on last Saturday. It was great fun seeing all da familiar faces again. I think I drank more than I danced that nite. Actually, I can remember I only had 2 salsa & 2 bachata dance. Hurhurhur... *guilty* No worries! I will be joining da gals at Union Sq on Wednesday, from this week onwards! Hope I can shed some fats :P

Tried to login my Facebook account this morning as per normal but all I can see is just one blank, white screen. Clicked "Refresh" button quite a no. of times but still da same. *sigh* My company has officially blocked us from Facebook website. I normally go to FB website only during office hours cos I hv to do housework or play WoW when I'm at home. Life is soooo boring now. I won't be able to see my frens' status updates or make silly comment on their pics. Sianz ah....

Bday Surprise For Him

Been planning this since May. I think women are more creative and thoughtful when comes to planning surprises for special occasions. 大男人 bought me a new camera and brought me to Sentosa on my bday this yr, I wanna do something for his bday too. Initially, I wanted to plan a wkend stay at SG hotel but I think it's a waste of $$$ cos hotel stay in SG is not cheap. Might as well take da $$$ & go for a wkend getaway in nearby countries.

After asking around for opinions & doing some research online myself, I decided to go Genting. Ya... I know da idea is very boring, always go Genting. But ok lah, he hasn't been to Genting for many years already. So many changes he also dunno. Furthermore, I hv very limited choices cos we both don't like hot weather and don't really appreciate resort-type of holiday. Hence, Genting it shall be cos it's always cold up there. Why I nvr consider other further countries is bcos we are planning to go Japan early next year, so better save up now :P

After booking da trip at Five Star Travel, I start to create da bday card. Damn cham, I hv to find all possible ways to make da card without him around. That means I cannot do it at home. My idea was to send him a card to his office to congratulate him on winning a free trip to Genting which will make him feel like it's a scam or junk mail :D
